Site C0006 targeted the main frontal thrust at the seaward edge of the accretionary wedge to investigate history and mechanism of development of the thrust. Drilling was stopped before reaching to the thrust zone due to poor hole condition.

This section locates in concentrated zone of tectonic deformation within lithological Unit III. Highly sheared fractures and polished breccias dominate were found.
Deformation bands and fault gouge were also discovered in this core sample. The age is late Miocene-early Pleistocene.
