The current policy of the IODP about sample and data clearly states that scientific analyses of data and samples be promoted over wide range of disciplines (please see below). Therefore, KCC will consider sample requests from any researcher across the globe. The curatorial staff at the KCC will gladly assist you in getting the samples required for your scientific work. If you are interested in having a look at the core sections and then taking samples of your interest, do not hesitate to visit the KCC, which is located in one of the 4 main islands of Japan known as Shikoku. The KCC is at the walkable distance from the Kochi Ryoma airport, which is well connected to Tokyo and Osaka and a few other cities in Japan through regular flights. The KCC staff will assist you in having a comfortable stay during your visit.
